MYHUB HOLIDAY PARKS – DUNEDIN

Booking Policy and Terms & Conditions

Holiday Park, Motel & Self-Contained Accommodation Complex — Dunedin, New Zealand

These terms apply to all bookings made directly with MYHUB Holiday Parks (in person, by phone, or via our website) and, where noted, to bookings made through third-party booking platforms (OTAs). By making a booking, the lead guest accepts these terms on behalf of all occupants and visitors.

  1. Rates, Tax and Currency

All rates are quoted in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and are inclusive of GST (15%).

Tariffs may vary according to season, unit/site type, special events, and availability. Management reserves the right to adjust rates at any time up until a booking is confirmed and a deposit has been received. Confirmed bookings are held at the rate quoted at confirmation.

We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Farmlands card, Alipay and WeChat Pay. A card surcharge applies to cover payment processing costs, as follows:

  • Visa and Mastercard: 1.5%
  • American Express: 2.5%
  • Diners Club: 3%
  • Farmlands card, Alipay and WeChat Pay: 1.5%

Surcharges are calculated on the total transaction value and will be displayed at checkout prior to payment.

  1. Payment & Deposits

Direct bookings (1–3 units/sites):

  • A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
  • The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to arrival.
  • This deposit structure is flexible and may be adjusted at Management’s discretion for special circumstances.

Group bookings (4+ units/sites):

  • A 50% deposit is required within 7 days of booking to secure your reservation.
  • The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
  • A refundable security bond may also be required for group bookings (see Section 9).

Third-party / OTA bookings:

  • Bookings made through third-party platforms (e.g. Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb) follow the payment terms of that platform.
  • A security bond may still apply on arrival, in addition to any amount paid through the platform.
  • A valid credit or debit card must still be provided directly to MYHUB Holiday Parks at or before check-in, regardless of booking channel (see Section 9).

All bookings, however made:

  • A valid credit or debit card in the name of the lead guest must be provided and held on file for every stay, regardless of how the booking was made or how it was paid for. This applies equally to direct bookings, group bookings, and third-party/OTA bookings.

  1. Flexible vs Non-Refundable Rates

Flexible Rate: Guests may cancel or amend their booking free of charge up to 24 hours before arrival (2.00pm on the day prior to arrival). Cancellations or amendments made inside this window may be charged the full booking value.

Non-Refundable Rate: No refunds, changes, or amendments are permitted once booked, regardless of circumstance, except where required by law.

  1. Cancellations, Amendments and No-Shows
  • Flexible-rate cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to 2.00pm on the day of arrival to receive a full refund.
  • Amendments that reduce the length of stay within the applicable cancellation window are treated as a cancellation for the shortened portion and may be charged accordingly.
  • No-shows will be charged the full value of the booking.
  • Cancellations or amendments to OTA bookings must be made directly with the relevant OTA by the guest; MYHUB Holiday Parks cannot process these on the guest’s behalf.

  1. Event, Public Holiday and Peak Period Rules

Minimum night stays and stricter cancellation policies apply over major Dunedin events (including concerts and stadium events), public holidays, and other peak periods.

Some dates may be completely non-refundable. Any such dates and conditions will be clearly disclosed to the guest at the time of booking.

  1. Bonds, Pre-Authorisations& Card on File

A pre-authorisation hold or cash bond may be required at check-in to cover any damages or excessive cleaning costs. This is in addition to any deposit paid at booking and is separate from any group booking bond described in Section 2.

  • The credit or debit card held on file (see Section 2) authorises MYHUB Holiday Parks to charge that card, without further consent, for: damage to the unit, site, or Park property; excessive cleaning costs; and items missing or removed from the room or site (including furniture, appliances, linen, crockery, or amenities).
  • This card-on-file authorisation applies in addition to, and is not limited by, any deposit, bond, or pre-authorisation already collected.
  • Where a guest cannot provide a card meeting this requirement, Management reserves the right to decline check-in or request an alternative acceptable form of security.

  1. Force Majeure
